Helping Your Patients Bridge the Gap to Success
Make It Fun Health serves as a resource and referral partner for health professionals and organizations who want the people they serve to not just manage conditions but improve their health. We take care of the habit-building, kitchen skills, and accountability. This frees you up to focus on the expert care you provide best.
How We Support a Healthier Lifestyle
• Knowledge Isn't Enough: Knowledge alone doesn't create behavior change. A person's reason for wanting to change must be bigger than the obstacle they face. So we focus on why they want to change, how they can, and how they can enjoy the journey.
• A "Fun" Foundation: Since people keep doing things they enjoy, we make getting healthy an enjoyable adventure. People don't need to be hungry or miserable in pursuit of better health. Once they understand concepts such as nutrient density and calorie density, they eat until they're satisfied and still meet their goals.
• Ensuring Follow-Through: Instead of telling people what to do, we help them discover the best course of action for themselves. Then we do it with them. Literally. We cook with them and help them navigate their challenges. We encourage them to start small so it's easy to develop good habit patterns that last.
Clinical Foundation
Our approach is grounded in peer-reviewed research on whole-food, plant-based nutrition. We follow the standards established by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine for the prevention and reversal of chronic disease. This evidence-based foundation includes:
• The BROAD Study: This randomized, controlled study showed people could lose weight, reverse type 2 diabetes, lower cholesterol, improve blood pressure, and maintain those changes without tracking or limiting food portions.
• The Lifestyle Heart Trial: This landmark randomized controlled trial by Dr. Dean Ornish provided the first evidence that coronary heart disease can be reversed and maintained through lifestyle changes. The study showed a measurable regression of arterial blockages—without drugs or surgery.
• A Strategy to Arrest and Reverse Coronary Artery Disease: Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn demonstrated long-term remission of advanced cardiovascular disease. His follow-up studies showed sustained health and high adherence more than 12 years later.
• Ongoing Meta-Analysis & Review: We align our coaching with the latest findings from global nutrition research. This includes regular review of the thousands of studies published annually to ensure our habit-building strategies reflect the most current evidence-based outcomes.
Supporting Value-Based Care
As healthcare shifts toward Value-Based Care, your success is tied directly to your patients' health outcomes. We help you meet those performance targets:
• Better Outcomes: By improving patient adherence, we help move the needle on the metrics you are measured on.
• Collaborative Success: When your patients reduce their A1c, lower their blood pressure, and manage their weight, your practice or organization thrives.
• Patient Support Tools: We provide professional handouts from trusted nutrition organizations and lifestyle prescription pads for your practice. These resources help turn your clinical advice into a tangible plan, making it more likely that your patients will follow through and see real results.
Rooted in Science, Built for Life
This program is led by a certified personal trainer with specializations in nutrition, weight loss, and behavior change. His training includes graduate-level research at the University of Colorado focused on long-term behavior adherence. He is also a professional member of Physicians for Nutrition, an international organization that promotes evidence-based nutrition in health care.
He created Make It Fun Health because he grew tired of watching people he cared about struggle and sometimes lose their battle with conditions that are often preventable and responsive to lifestyle changes.
The Lifestyle Prescription
You can help your patients take lifestyle change seriously by treating it as a clinical necessity. "Lifestyle Prescriptions" on designated materials are one way to do that. We'd be happy to provide such materials to your clinic free of charge upon request.
Final Note
Make It Fun Health is a lifestyle coaching and educational platform. While our approach is grounded in peer-reviewed clinical research, we are not a medical clinic and do not provide medical advice. We actively encourage all participants to work closely with their physician - especially when managing medications for chronic conditions during lifestyle transitions.
We are here to support your patient’s journey to health as a complement to your clinical care. If you are looking for a reliable partner to help your patients transition to whole-food, plant-based living, please reach out to discuss how we can help.

While we can help you eat better, fit into smaller clothes, and feel amazing, we aren't doctors. We don't even own stethoscopes (they're surprisingly cold). This info is for learning and not diagnosing. It doesn't replace professional medical or mental health advice, so please keep your doctor in the loop.
